DSHD MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Dayton Street Historic District is to bring a broader community awareness to the historic architectural significance of Dayton Street (primarily) and the surrounding streets incorporated into the Dayton Street Historic District. Dayton Street is the heart and hub, but the broader community extending many blocks beyond is of equal importance and very much a part of the historic district as a whole. The secondary responsibility is to create an inviting sense of being within the community itself.
